A Clos and a Chateau...
The vines of La Closerie de Fronsac extend over two appellations, Canon Fronsac and Fronsac. Two different expressions of an exceptional terroir, that of the clay-limestone plateau of Fronsadais nestled at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Isle...
In the heart of Bordeaux Tuscany
La Closerie de Fronsac is located in a former stronghold of the Hospitallers of Malta where, in the past, pilgrims to Compostela came to draw strength from the light of an incomparable vineyard landscape that connoisseurs today call the Bordeaux Tuscany. Coming from a confidential vineyard, the wines of La Closerie de Fronsac are worked in the art of traditions, expressing the power of their race, an exceptional complex and aromatic character.

Making the most of an exceptional terroir
01
A family vineyard, an exceptional process
All our vintages come from micro-plots and are vinified separately. The harvest, carried out exclusively by hand at optimum maturity, is quickly transported in crates to refrigerated vats. Our three micro-plots, the largest of which does not exceed 1.87 ha, allow us to produce at least three distinct vintages. This plot-by-plot vinification guarantees precise control of the fermentation processes, adapted to each terroir, in order to fully express their singularity.

02

Demanding ecological practices
We have always been committed to cultivating our vineyard with respect for nature, by adopting demanding ecological practices. From soil preservation to biodiversity, every action is designed for a sustainable balance. Our vines are cultivated with care, without superfluous inputs, in order to reveal the authenticity of our terroir while preserving the environment for future generations.
03
Precision aging
We adapt the aging process according to each vintage, selecting our barrels from coopers renowned for the quality of their manufacturing and refining. Each vintage being unique, we adapt its aging process to its characteristics and phenolic profile, in order to allow it to reveal its full potential.
